Located in central California, east of Monterey and Salinas, San Benito County is the eastern gateway destination of Pinnacles National Park. Less than 2 hours from San Francisco and 4 ½ hours from Los Angeles, San Benito County is an upcoming travel destination with outdoor activities such as bird watching and hiking, golf and tennis, as well as a wine tasting trail, variety of dining options, boutique shopping, historic parks and museums, and a full calendar of events, fairs and festivals, and parades.

The nation’s 59th national park, Pinnacles NP features fascinating rock formations, a variety of wildflowers and plant life, caves and hiking trails to explore, wildlife and bird watching. If you are lucky, you may even get to see one of the resident California Condors. The western side of Pinnacles, and the historic San Benito County community of San Juan Bautista are both part of the Juan Bautista National Historic Trail.
