New Mexico State Travel Guide


New Mexico is the fifth largest state in the USA and shares the Four Corners region with UtahColorado, and Arizona. It is our 47th state, admitted to the union on January 6, 1912. The “Land of Enchantment” is home to 18 National Park Units.


Additionally, there are 34 State Parks, 7 National Forests, 9 National Wildlife Refuges, 4 Wild & Scenic Rivers, 1,100 Places listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 46 National Historic Landmarks, 12 National Natural Landmarks, and 1 National Heritage Area.
