Located in Silver City, Bear Mountain Lodge is a tranquil oasis on the edge of the New Mexico wilderness. An ideal choice for quiet relaxation or unforgettable adventure, the Lodge offers refined and restful accommodations in breathtaking surroundings, with easy access to hiking, cycling, horseback riding, bird watching, nature study and wilderness.

The Lodge grounds, 178 secluded acres, are nestled against the immense grandeur of the Gila National Forest. It is just minutes from the heart of Silver City, boyhood home of Billy the Kid and today an Arts and Culture District of New Mexico. Built in the 1928, the  historic Lodge is fully restored and lovingly maintained, and features inviting common areas, remarkable fireplaces and hand-hewn beams and staircase, a dining room serving breakfast and dinner, a well-stocked library, and eleven luxurious guest rooms with modern amenities. It is also home to Blue Dome Gallery, Silver City’s premier contemporary art space.

The building is surrounded by expansive shaded portales and landscaped with drought adapted plants. Public areas and all eleven guest rooms display original works of art provided by the Blue Dome Gallery. The natural and extensive Lodge grounds are native Juniper woodland habitat, at about 6,000 feet in elevation. You will find pathways close to the lodge, a pond, places to relax and watch for wildlife. Some paths lead to well-marked trails into the woodland, some mostly level and easily walkable and others a bit more steep leading to wonderful lookouts.

Bear Mountain Lodge is located at 60 Bear Mountain Ranch Rd., Silver City, NM 88062. For more information or to reserve your stay call (575) 538-2538 or visit www.BearMountainLodge.com.
