Kathleen Walls

Kathleen Walls, former reporter for Union Sentinel in Blairsville, GA, is publisher/writer for American Roads and Global Highways. She currently resides in Middleburg, FL and has lived in Florida most of her life but travels extensively, mainly in the Southeast. Kathleen was born in New Orleans and goes back often to Louisiana. She has lived in Mississippi and Georgia as well. Sort of like the Johnny Cash song “I’ve Been Everywhere.”

ON BIG BLEND RADIO: Kathleen Walls discusses her books and writing, travel and music adventures, and more. Watch here in the YouTube player or download the podcast on Acast.com.

She is the author of travel books; Georgia’s Ghostly Getaways, Finding Florida’s Phantoms, Hosts With Ghosts, and Wild About Florida series, novels; Last Step, Kudzu, Under a Bloody Flag, Under a Black Flag, For Want of a Ship, The Tenant From Hell, Double Duplicity, and The Ranch House Heist, True Crime; ManHunt: The Eric Rudolph Story, and Missing but not Forgotten (This one is slightly fictionalized but based on a true abduction case in a tiny Florida town. The case has never been solved.) The print ones are available on her site Katy’s World. The ebooks are available from Amazon.

She is currently working on American Music: Born in the USA: A History of American Music. Since it’s going to include places about music as well as people, it’s taking her to visit some interesting music related spots.

Her travel site is American Roads and Global Highways. Other publications she writes for include Big Blend Magazine, Roadtrippers, World Footprints, Snowbirds and RV Travelers, Family RVing, Deep South, Florida Country, Rovology, Extended Weekend Getaways, She Buys Travel, and more.
