Idaho has 10 National Park units, including Yellowstone National Park and Nez Perce National Historical Park. There are 2 National Monuments, the Craters Of The Moon National Monument & Preserve and the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument; plus Idaho is home to the Minidoka National Historic Site and the City Of Rocks National Reserve. There are 4 National Trails running through Idaho, California National Historic TrailIce Age Floods National Geologic TrailLewis & Clark National Historic Trail, and the Oregon National Historic Trail.

There are 21 State Parks, 1 State Forest, 2 State Fish Hatcherys,10 National Forests, 6 National Wildlife Refuges, and 22 Wild & Scenic Rivers. Idaho also has 1,039 Places listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 10 National Historic Landmarks, 11 National Natural Landmarks, and 1 World Heritage Site.
