Florida has 12 National Parks, Biscayne National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park and Everglades National Park.There are 3 National Monuments, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, De Soto National Monument, and Fort Matanzas National Monument, as well as 2 National Preserves, Big Cypress National Preserve and the Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve.
There are 2 National Seashores, the Canaveral National Seashore and the Gulf Islands National Seashore as well as Fort Caroline National Memorial and the Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor.
Florida is also home to 175 State Parks and 9 State Trails, 3 National Forests and 1 National Trail, approximately 30 National Wildlife Refuges, and 2 Wild & Scenic Rivers. There are 1700 Places listed on the National Register of Historic Places and 42 of those are National Historic Landmarks, 18 National Natural Landmarks, and 1 World Heritage Site.
