Connecticut is home to five national parks, more than 1,500 listed sites on the National Register of Historic places; 8 listed National Natural Landmarks, 54 State Parks, 25 State Forests, 2 State Wildlife Areas and 4 Wild & Scenic Rivers.
The National Park units include: the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, the New England National Scenic Trail, the Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail, and the Weir Farm National Historic Site.
