The site where the first airplane landed in Arizona, the Yuma Landing in historic downtown Yuma, Arizona serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and boasts a full-service Sports Bar, as well as the Captain’s Lounge that features top shelf cocktails and appetizers.

Across the street from the historic Coronado Motor Hotel, the Yuma Landing is a popular ‘landing spots’ where folks gather to enjoy a bite and a cocktail. The Hangar Sports Bar is a full service bar that serves up appetizers, main entrees, and a great beer selection. Sports lovers can watch college or pro football, baseball, basketball, hockey, boxing, UFC and soccer on their big screen TV’s. The restaurant has a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu that includes steaks, seafood, pasta dishes, south-of-the-border dishes, burgers, salads and more. Boasting a nostalgic Las Vegas ambiance, The Captain’s Lounge serves premium liquors and wines, specialty coffees and smoothies, along with appetizers.

Happy Hour at the Yuma Landing is Monday-Thursday from 3pm-6pm, Sunday Brunch features Eggs Benedict and Mimosas, Tuesday is Trivia Night, Karaoke rocks the Hangar Sports Bar on Wednesday nights, there’s live music on Friday nights. And, there’s always a daily special to enjoy!

On October 25, 1911, the first plane to land in the state of Arizona did so on the site of the Yuma Landing. This Wright Model B biplane was piloted by Robert G. Fowler, and was rented from the famed Wright Brothers, who had made their historic flight years before. Marking the landing, there is a state monument is in front of the restaurant, plus, the restaurant has a fascinating pictorial museum featuring over 200 aviation and historical pictures of Yuma.
