A Big Blend Radio interview with Donnette Silva Carter about spring in Tulare County.
Tulare is a gateway destination to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Sequoia National Forest, and Giant Sequoia National Monument. Tulare has a charming historic downtown district with lovely tree lined streets, murals, boutique shops, and restaurants.
Showcasing the region’s Native American, pioneer and agricultural history, the Tulare Historical Museum is a fascinating place to visit. Housed in the International Agri-Center where the World Ag Expo is held, AgVentures Learning Center and the Antique Farm Equipment Museum are fun and educational attractions for the whole family. Home to the Tulare Outlet Center, Tulare is a regional shopping destination where shoppers can get good discounts on brand name products, enjoy a meal at one of the various restaurants, watch a movie at Galaxy Theatre, or attend the farmers market or an event. North ‘L’ Street is another great Tulare shopping and lunch destination. There are a number of hotels to stay in, all in close proximity to the historic downtown district and the Tulare Outlet Center.
