April 11: The Spring Wine Festival –  The Spring Wine Festival features around 30 wineries and a selection of local caterers and gourmet foods. You’ll experience a range of tastes from across the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy the beauty of Fidalgo Island while sampling a full breadth of wines from the Pacific Northwest. Savor and pair tastes with full-bodied sweet and savory cabernets to light, dry, and crisp pinot grigios. The on-site Wine Shop offers an opportunity to take some of these artfully prepared wines home. 1:30-5pm at the Historic Port of Anacortes Event Center.

May 14-17: Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show: The Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA) and the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce they will co-produce the new Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show at the Port of Anacortes’ Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes, Wash. May 14-17.The show will have in-water display space for new and brokerage boats, a shoreside tent for accessory displays, shoreside space for trailerable boats and more space for boats at the dry storage facilities just south of the marina. In all, there will be space to display 300 plus boats, which will make it the largest boat show ever held in Anacortes, and will draw serious boat buyers from across the region and British Columbia.

June 6-7: Anacortes Waterfront Festival: Let your inner sailor out and embrace a life on the water at the Anacortes Waterfront Festival! With an open-air car show; food vendors; arts and crafts booths; children’s activities including giant slides and water balls; live music, and entertainment – this annual Anacortes event has something for all ages. Showcasing the best of waterfront activities across two full days including Quick and Dirty Boat Building where teams build boats all day and then test their float-ability, take a free boat ride both days with the Anacortes Yacht Club by registering at the gazebo by the marina’s main office from 10am to 3:30pm. Pay for play and free hands-on children’s activities include building wooden sailboats with Fidalgo Island Rotary, games, and more. The Channel of Discovery has booths that range from model boats to learning about our waterfront, environment, and forest land wildlife. A great variety of food vendors offer everything from pulled pork sandwiches, cotton candy and hotdogs, to Gyros, Mexican tamales, and more! Relax in the beer garden with live music and sea shanties.
