JIGSAW PUZZLE: BLACK BEAR IN SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK

Joy A. Collier is a California landscape artist known for her vibrant paintings of Giant Sequoia Trees, the Central Valley and Desert regions, as well as abstract nature work. Her series “California’s Giant Sequoia’s, Found No Where Else on Earth” features the giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum), the world’s largest tree. It grows naturally only in a narrow 160-mile band of mixed conifer forest on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California.  In celebration of these very special trees, her series features some of the most well-known trees and groves in Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, plus, a variety of well-known National Forest Groves such as the Trail of 100 Giants. Joy is based in Porterville in Tulare County, gateway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and Sequoia National Forest. See her work at www.JoyCollier.com.
