Alabama has 3 National Monuments, Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument, Freedom Riders National Monument and the Russell Cave National MonumentThere is also the Horseshoe Bend National Military ParkTuskegee Airmen National Historic Site and the Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site.

There are 2 National Trails, the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail and the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail, as well as the Little River Canyon National Preserve, the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, and the Natchez Trace Parkway.
