FOURS SEASON OF FUN IN SAN DIEGO’S MOUNTAINS & BACKCOUNTRY

From parks and hiking trails to scenic drives and seasonal events, listen to our Big Blend Radio interview with Teresa Keller, General Manager & Event Coordinator of Jeremy’s on the Hill California Style Bistro in Wynola “Gateway to Julian”, who talks about what there is to see and do year-round in San Diego’s popular mountain and back country region.

A popular historic gold mining town up in San Diego’s mountain region, Julian and its surrounding communities including Wynola, Santa Ysabel, Lake Cuyamaca and Mount Laguna, make for the perfect year-round destination. A mountain area that enjoys nature’s four seasons, there are beautiful forests, parks, and lakes to explore, as well as historic sites to tour. From shopping and antiquing, to gold panning and festive community events, there’s an experience and an activity for everyone! It’s a foodie destination too, with wine and craft beer tasting, u-pick orchards, Julian’s famous apple pie and numerous dining options that range from farm-to-table fare to Mexican and Italian cuisine.

Spring is vibrant with lush meadows and the colorful blossoming of wildflowers, daffodils, lilacs, wisteria, apple orchards, and more. Summers are ideal for hiking, biking, boating and fishing, camping, star-gazing, and horse riding. Fall heralds the harvest of the grapes and apples, and the turning of the leaves. And winter offers the occasional snow flurry, and crisp mountain weather.
